I am very grateful family is such an important part of the Mrs. International system. With that in mind, though not an appearance, today was a very special day for our family. Our beautiful granddaughter Madeline (Maddie) was baptized today! From the moment she entered the church in her father's arms, Maddie took it all in with nary a peep or whimper! When it was time for her baptism ceremony, she quietly accepted her blessing and welcome into the church. After that, she peeked over her mommy's shoulder to smile at her Papa (my husband's grandpa name) as the two of them kept each other company in their own special way.
From the day we learned Megan and James would be blessed with Maddie, my husband and I have enjoyed all of the wonderful moments you look forward to in becoming grandparents. Today was no exception.
I have often been asked if becoming a grandmother "bothered" me, as though it was a signal the best years of my life were officially behind me. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Becoming a grandmother has been the most incredible blessing in the world! As I watch my daughter become an amazing mother in her own right, I am reminded of how precious she was an infant.
Little Maddie lights up at the sight of her mother's face or the sound of her voice, and I see the love of a child for her mother in a way that God truly intended. To be witness to that is such a gift!
From personal experience, I can tell you becoming a grandmother is absolutely FABULOUS! It doesn't signal the end of anything, rather the beginning of a joy you cannot imagine!
