Recovery Oriented Systems of Care

As a member of the Board of Directors for the NW Frontier Addiction Technology Transfer Center (NWATTC), along with my colleagues across the country I participated in a meeting to develop a series of audio-conferences in which legislators, academics, and those in alcohol & drug addiction recovery can learn more about the issue of addiction, drafting legislation supporting prevention and treatment services, and how to fund those services.

The plan involves three audio-conferences featuring experts from across the country. Each audio-conference includes expert speakers from New York to Oregon. The series of teleconferences (tentatively scheduled for late June through July 2008) will specifically address different components and needs seen across the country, in the hopes of providing a national network and draft framework a better understanding of alcohol and drug addiction prevention and treatment needs.

As details emerge, I will update this Blog to keep you posted.
